Geddy Lee's best-selling memoir My Effin' Life was officially released last month and back on November 13th Geddy kicked off his spoken word In Conversation book tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York City with guest speaker Paul Rudd. He then headed to Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, Cleveland, Montreal, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, and wrapped up the North American leg in Toronto with none other than Alex Lifeson. He kicked off the UK leg of the tour in Wolverhampton last Sunday, and then made stops in Sheffield, Glasgow and Portsmouth over the last week, with Alex Lifeson surprising everyone in Portsmouth last night by showing up for the guest interviewer duties. Tonight Ged will be wrapping up the tour with one final stop at London's Barbican, with tickets currently SOLD OUT. The fact that Alex Lifeson joined Ged for his trip to the UK, and that this is the final stop on the tour, makes it quite likely that Al will join Ged one final time for tonight's tour finale. Phil Wilding will also probably show up, since he's been helping out with the Q&A for all 4 UK dates so far. All attendees will receive a copy of Ged's book, along with a 16 page color tour book upon entering the venue. Rush has set up an online form where attendees can submit questions for Geddy prior to the show at this link. Geddy has also been taking a high-res audience selfie from the stage after every show, and posting them for download on Rush.com. Hopefully, yes, although Geddy has made it clear that he'll be taking a break after tonight. That doesn't rule out a second leg later this Winter or early Spring after he's had some R&R. Ged's North American leg completely left out the southern US, so it stands to reason that any additional leg would likely focus on some shows in those warmer climates. If this is the case, I'd expect an announcement after the new year. Fingers crossed!
