Rush Clockwork Angels official Summer tour date announcement
6:27AM EST | comments (197) |

UPDATE - 2/21@10:44AM: Live Nation pre-sales for the Canadian dates of Hamilton, Calgary and Vancouver today at 10AM local time using password dazzle. The Hamilton pre-sale is already underway.

UPDATE - 2/20@5:57PM: Some more VIP ticket packages for Hamilton and Portland were released earlier today. Passwords are no longer required to purchase the VIP packages now.

UPDATE - 2/20@12:45PM: I'd mentioned below that it's possible that Rush may insert a show on either July 8th or 10th (8th seems more likely) at the Quebec City Summer Festival. This is based on speculation included in this report by the Quebec Journal although nothing is confirmed yet (thanks Raymond B).

UPDATE - 2/20@10:55AM: The Summerfest pre-sale kicks off at 10AM CST via Ticketmaster and using the password ANGELS. The CITI pre-sales for Chicago and Kansas City also will begin at 10AM CST.

UPDATE - 2/20@9:56AM: CITI pre-sales for Hershey, Jones Beach, Saratoga Springs, Grand Rapids, and Cincinnati begin in just a few minutes. These pre-sales require a CITI credit card and the password is the first 6 digits of your credit card number. CITI pre-sales for the rest of the US shows will occur at 10AM local venue time.

UPDATE - 2/20@7:13AM: The Portland VIP pre-sale is sold out and the Denver Music Today pre-sale is also sold out. Today's Summerfest pre-sale will be run via Ticketmaster and use the password ANGELS. CITI card pre-sales for most of the shows begin today at 10AM local venue time.

UPDATE - 2/19@2:54PM: VIP and Fan pre-sales for the Pacific timezone cities of Vancouver and Portland begin in just a few minutes!

UPDATE - 2/19@2:09PM: VIP and Fan pre-sales for the Mountain timezone cities of Denver and Salt Lake City are underway!

UPDATE - 2/19@1:13PM: It looks like both the Hamilton and Halifax VIP pre-sales are SOLD OUT. Halifax Music Today fan pre-sales also are sold out.

UPDATE - 2/19@12:54PM: VIP and Fan pre-sales for the Central timezone cities of Chicago, Milwaukee (Fan pre-sale only), Calgary and Kansas City begin in a few minutes!!

UPDATE - 2/19@12:17PM: In addition to Hamilton, there's an AMEX Front of the Line pre-sale for Calgary too; tickets on sale NOW!

UPDATE - 2/19@11:58AM: VIP and Fan pre-sales for Hershey, Wantagh, Saratoga Springs, Grand Rapids, Cincinatti, and Hamilton begin in a few minutes!! Also, there's an AMEX pre-sale going on RIGHT NOW for Hamilton...

UPDATE - 2/19@11:45AM: AMEX Front of the Line pre-sales for Hamilton are on sale now!

UPDATE - 2/19@10:54AM: I've added all the dates and pre-sale info into the tour section. All the shows are now listed at both the VIP Nation website (except for Milwaukee) and the Rush Music Today website (for the Fan pre-sales). The Milwaukee Summerfest show will not have a VIP Nation pre-sale (it's not a Live Nation event) but it will have a Music Today fan pre-sale. Summerfest will also be running their own pre-sale tomorrow from 10AM-10PM. All of the VIP and Fan pre-sales begin today at Noon local venue time. That means that all of the venues in the Eastern time zone begin at 12PM EST, those in the Central time zone at 12PM CST, etc. This means that the Halifax pre-sale begins in just a few minutes at 12PM AST! It also means that the pre-sales for Hershey, Wantagh, Saratoga Springs, Grand Rapids, Cincinatti, Milwaukee (Fan pre-sale only), and Hamilton begin in about 1 hour from now! Some but not all of the shows are now also listed at Ticketmaster. For questions regarding all the various pre-sales be sure to read my guide to ticket sales and pre-sales.

UPDATE - 2/19@9:28AM: Most of the dates are now listed at the VIP Nation website as well as the Rush Music Today site. I forgot to note that in Rush's original announcement of the Spring dates last month they had mentioned Boston as one of the cities to be included on the Summer leg, but obviously no Boston date was announced today. My guess is that there will still be an as yet unannounced show there on either July 8th or 10th, as well as a possible appearance at the Quebec City Summer Festival on one of those 2 dates. For questions regarding all the various pre-sales be sure to read my guide to ticket sales and pre-sales.

Early this morning Rush announced via the newsletter the remaining dates of the Summer leg of the 2013 North American Clockwork Angels tour. Late last week they had announced shows in Hamilton and Halifax on July 6th and 12th respectively, and today have added another 13 shows to make a total of 15 for the Summer leg. Just as we had speculated, the Summer North American leg of the tour will kick off in Hershey, PA on June 21st, then travel the Northeast and Midwest for a total of 9 shows before ending up in Halifax on July 12th. After a 12-day break, things will pick up again out West on July 24th in Calgary for a short run of 6 dates before ending at the Spring Center in Kansas City on August 4th. All of the cities included in this batch had actually already been mentioned in Rush's announcement of the Spring dates last month. We had hoped they would add a few more, but it looks like the band is keeping things simple with only 2 short legs of 9 and 6 dates respectively. They are also playing indoor stadiums rather than outdoor sheds for the most part. Pre-sales for 14 of the 15 dates kick off TODAY at Noon local time (Milwaukee pre-sale starts Wednesday). Here's the announcement with all the details from

Pre-sales for newly announced shows begin TODAY, TUESDAY FEB 19th at NOON!

RUSH Clockwork Angels Tour will visit an additional 15 cities from June to August across North America, following the previously announced spring dates. The second leg will begin in Hershey on June 21st and complete in Kansas City on August 4th. ...

After returning from their European dates, a second leg will begin in June which will include stops in Hershey, Wantagh, Saratoga, Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Calgary, Vancouver, Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, Hamilton, and will finally return to Grand Rapids and Halifax for the first time in decades.

Does anyone know about Sleep Country in WA. I got tickets on stub hub sec 101 row 3. I just made an impulse buy due to the fact there are no vegas or Phx shows. I want to know how that venue is and how easy it is to get to from the airport.

#192: LOL, I had ninth row, right side seats at what was then Fiddlers for TFE. Yes, sound there was terrible. I've seen a number of bands at Pepsi - U2, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews...with a wide variety of seats. Invariably, sound rattles around that place like a tin can. It's bad enough that I'm contemplating foregoing this show, although I would enjoy seeing some of the Power Windows and CA material live. I'll probably buckle.

#192, I have never been to a show at RR, but I was going to fly out & make a trip out of it, if they were going to do it. I'm a little disappointed, I know if it were possible , it would have happened. I heard all three guys say that RR was one of the most beautiful venues in the world. I would totally agree. Maybe it was because the heat of the summer, or RR was not available? Next time they'll play RR for sure,I for one will make a point of being there. RUSH ON!

#190: If you're pretty close to stage, it won't matter. I really discovered that during the TFE tour, when I had 4th row center at (then) Fiddler's Green (famous for its lousy acoustics.) My guess is that you're mainly listening to stage monitors at that range, but who knows.

On the other hand, I saw AC/DC at the Pepsi Center a few years ago. We were about halfway back, and the acoustics were absolutely awful.

Bottom line is, I was also very disappointed that they're not playing Red Rocks, where every seat has near perfect acoustics, not to mention the sheer beauty of the venue. Your guess is as good as mine why they aren't, since I believe they played RR every tour since R30.

Really disappointing that Rush is performing at Pepsi Center over Red Rocks. The acoustics and overall experience just isn't the same...ok, done complaining.

Dates suck ........... What's Rush's fascination with playing Saratoga and Uncasville every friggin tour?

I will be pissed if no more Canadian dates are added in early July, especially Ottawa. We got screwed last time when there was an open date between the Toronto and Montreal and they added a 2nd Toronto date.

@#10, if you remember back in 2010, they added the Bluesfest date after the initial tour dates were announced. Bluesfest does not release their schedule til late March/April.
I have a relative involved with BF and ask him to give me a "heads up" if he hears something.

#185, sorry to hear there's no shows for Arizona, maybe they'll add a few more to the last of the summer dates. It's an odd number of dates, that last part, usually they do blocks of 10 or so,if not, I love the idea of another tour in 2014, but I think they might hybernate w/ family for a while before they crank up the Caravan once more. Just my opinion, we'll just have to stay tuned. Russia? What's up with that? They never went to Australia, why would they go to Russia? Nothing against people from Russia, my sister-in-law is from Russia. Just don't even know how Rush would fare over there. Aren't they into stuff like "death metal"?
