Theaters and showtimes for theatrical showing of Rush's Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland concert now online

Rush - Time Machine 2011: Live in ClevelandUPDATE - 10/2@5:04PM: Every theater listing that I have seen has the running time at 120 minutes/2 hours. However, reader RThompson150 contacted his local theater who gave the time as 2 hours and 14 minutes. Rich Chycki chimed in and said he only mixed 2 versions; the 2-hour version that was on VH1 Classic and the full version. So my guess is that the 2 hour, 14 minute claim by the theater is not correct and the 2 hour version will be shown in theaters. Given that some theaters are giving back-to-back showings at 7 and 9:30, there's absolutely no way it could be the full 2 hour, 44 minute version that will be on the DVD/Blu-ray. I came up with the 1 hour and 50 minutes run time on the VH1 Classic version by just adding the collective time of the YouTube videos. I probably missed some time that was cut off the front and back ends of the vids, so the actual run time is probably closer to 2 hours. The theatrical version may have some extra lead in time and credits too. The bottom line being that the theatrical cut looks like it will be the same as was shown on VH1 Classic.

UPDATE - 10/2@10:10AM: Reader RThompson150 contacted his local theater who gave the time as 2 hours and 14 minutes. That's longer than the 1 hour, 50 minutes VH1 Classic version, but still not enough to include the entire concert. Hopefully we'll get some more details soon.

UPDATE - 10/1@3:38PM: It looks like all of the theater listings indicate that the running time of the film is 2 hours. Assuming this is accurate, this would mean that the theatrical version is likely the same edited version that was shown on VH1 Classic.

Theaters and showtimes for the October 26th theatrical showing of Rush's Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland concert are starting to get posted at the D&E Entertainment website for the film here. Right now there are 40-50 theaters listed across 9 states with the promise of more to be added soon. So if there aren't any theaters yet listed in your area, just keep checking back at the website periodically. We got our first glimpse of the film when VH1 Classic aired an edited version of the concert as the showcase of their Rush Hashanah celebration this past Wednesday. They left out about 8 tracks in order to fit the concert into a 2-and-a-half hour time slot, which yielded a running time of about 1 hour and 50 minutes after commercials. They also included the Real History of Rush intro and intermission videos along with a new outro video featuring the 3 guys as their Gershon's characters playing a polka-ized version of Closer to the Heart. If you missed it on TV, the entire show was posted to YouTube in 10 parts with part 1 at this link (just follow the links in the YouTube descriptions to get the other parts). The Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland DVD will release on November 8th with the Blu-ray version releasing on December 20th.
