Clockwork Angels: The Novel world premiere book launch
Author Kevin J. Anderson just posted information to his blog regarding the world premiere book launch of Clockwork Angels: The Novel:
Toronto fans, we will be launching CLOCKWORK ANGELS: The Novel, first time ever on sale, on Thursday evening, August 23 at the Richmond and John Chapters (142 John Street) at 7:00pm. I'll be in Toronto as a guest at Fan Expo throughout the weekend, but this event-open to the general public-will be the first time the novel is available for sale. I will give a talk, answer questions, and autograph books...lots of them, I hope!
For further details, see chapters.indigo.ca. This event is free, and I do not charge for autographs.
US fans, you'll have to wait an extra week. I WILL have plenty of copies for sale on August 31 at DragonCon in Atlanta.
For a complete list of upcoming appearances/signings check out this post at Anderson's blog. Earlier this week a free pdf version of the Clockwork Angels sampler booklet was made available for download at this location. The preview booklet includes introductions by Neil Peart and Anderson, the first three chapters in the novel, lyrics to Caravan and some of the artwork. Anderson also still has hardcopies of the booklet to give away. For details on how to obtain a hardcopy check out these instructions. You can check out the SciFi Pulse review of the novel from earlier this week here, and pre-order the audiobook version of Clockwork Angels (narrated by Neil Peart) at this location, and the hardcover edition here.

50p?!
Did you Guys and Girls see the band even Rush love last night "The Who" at the closing ceremony at London Olympic Stadium?
The best rock and roll from a London Band still playing after 48 years!
I have seen this band in concert since my first show at the Rainbow Theatre 41 years ago when my ticket cost just £0.50p! My concert ticket for Rush at the O2 Arena next May set me back £75.00P!

#11 - Taurus Pedal Boy in regards to the following comment.
I don't know...I'm obviously curious about the book, but I find it very interesting and perhaps rather telling that when Alex or Geddy have been questioned about the novel, they seem to always say (and I am paraphrasing, of course) "Well, that's really Neil's 'thing' and we don't have much to say about it...".
This comment reminds me of when Geddy and Alex were interviewed about the 'RUSH: Beyond The Lighted Stage' documentary, and they would always say 'Well it's Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen's film really'. The band just happened to participate in something that was about them, which turned out to be a milestone in their career.
I'm referencing your comment in a good way with the similar comparisons.
In regards to the naysayers on here:
I believe Kevin J. Anderson' doing media interviews, upcoming book signings, and attending RushCon about the 'Clockwork Angels' novel are to promote the book strictly on its own merits in the bigger picture. It's not like he's doing this to push his own career further and be more famous.
He's already an established science fiction author in his own right.
See wikipedia entry below:

Neil wouldn't feel comfortable attending a book signing for obvious reasons, so someone has to promote the book (which he co-wrote) and Kevin is the one doing the task.
There is a strong interest in the book because this is a new concept that has never been done before. 'Tommy' by The Who and 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd have been made into films, but not a book created from an album concept theme.
To those who believe that Kevin is simply promoting the book for his career needs only, well then you're all out to lunch I'm sorry to say.
Wooo Who!
Look out for The Who at the Olympic Closing Ceremony today.
