Rush will wrap up their 4-night Fifty Something tour opening stint at the Kia Forum in LA tonight before taking a 5-day break and kicking things back into gear for a pair of shows down in Mexico City later next week. Over the first 3 shows, the band has performed a total of 34 different songs (35 if you count 2112 truncated vs. full) spanning over a dozen Rush albums. This means that of the 37 songs they rehearsed (according to the leaked rehearsal list), there are now only 3 songs that haven't been heard yet, and which we assume we'll be hearing tonight. One of those songs has not been performed live by the band since the '70s! Other than the Xanadu opener, the Working Man show closer, and the 2 Neil Peart tributes, there hasn't been much continuity from one show to the next, so there's no telling what the band has in store for fans. So far over the first 3 LA shows we've seen the band performing 2112 (the song) in its entirety (first time since the Test for Echo tour), Moving Pictures in its entirety, and the inclusion of Aimee Mann performing backing vocals on Time Stand Still, among several other surprises. Mann will be doing one last performance with the band tonight in LA where she resides, but that should be it (she's not going on tour with the band). If you want to score tickets, there are still plenty available from resellers via both Ticketmaster and brokers. I'll keep the setlist updated throughout the evening, as well as the RIAB social media channels. For everyone going tonight, have fun and be safe. RUSH!!!!
