Next Saturday, September 24th the film Lloyd The Conqueror will premiere at the Calgary International Film Festival at the Globe Theatre at 7PM. The film stars Mike Smith of the Trailer Park Boys along with Brian Posehn, and follows three male college students as they do battle against Derek the Unholy, a dark wizard who is determined to hold onto his title as champion of the LARPers. The film features a cover of Rush's Anthem performed by Canadian heavy metal band 3 Inches of Blood who will be performing at the official premiere after party at 9PM at Dickens Pub. We first heard that 3 Inches of Blood had recorded a version of Anthem back in February.
