Rush brings the Fifty Something tour back to the city that broke the band in the US this evening, playing the first of a pair of shows at Cleveland's Rocket Arena. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in partnership with RushCon are celebrating the return of Rush to Cleveland with a 4-day fan event called Rush the Rock Hall. The event runs today through Sunday and will include special appearances by Rush album artist Hugh Syme, and author Kevin J. Anderson, along with special panel discussions From Working Man to the Spirit of Radio: Rush, Radio, and Industry tomorrow, and Rush Nerds Rush the Rock Hall Panel on Saturday. The Saturday panel will include yours truly (Ed Stenger), Jillian Maryonovich (RUSHCON), Matt Wardlaw (Ultimate Classic Rock), Annie Zaleski (author) and Rush superfan/archivist/historian Ray Wawrzyniak. Fans will need to purchase Rock Hall admission tickets to get the full experience, and then each panel is an additional $10. If you plan to attend more than one day, then it makes more sense to just purchase a year-long Rock Hall membership, which will get you in all 4 days (and beyond). The Hugh Syme panel is sold out, but tickets for the other 3 panels are still available. For all the details and to purchase tickets, visit rockhall.org. We're expecting the band to play a version of their Bravo setlist tonight, which has 2112 in full as its centerpiece. This setlist has many different versions, but they all include The Spirit of Radio after the Xanadu opener, Limelight to close out set 1, 2112 in full to open set 2, Tom Sawyer closing out set 2, and Finding My Way as the first encore. You can check out the full, expected setlist here. The Cleveland-themed merch for tonight's show is yet to be revealed, but the outdoor merch booth will open in an hour at 3PM on East 6th street. The doors open at 6PM and the show starts at 7:30 (ish). We'll be attending the show tonight, so we won't be posting many updates to this thread in real-time throughout the show. I'll instead be posting any updates to social media, so be sure to follow RIAB on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X and other channels to get all the updates. For everybody going to the show, have a great time!!!
