After a much-deserved 8-day respite, Rush will fire up the tour machine again this evening for the first of a pair of shows at Boston's TD Garden. It should be a special show in that today would also have been the 74th birthday of the late Neil Peart; it'll be interesting to see if they do any kind of tribute/acknowledgement above and beyond their Bravado and Time Stand Still tributes. I'm sure Ged will at the very least give it a mention in one of his monologues between songs at some point. As far as the song selection goes, we are expecting some variation of the Bravo setlist. That setlist always opens up with Xanadu followed by The Spirit of Radio, and closes up set 1 with Limelight. It then has 2112 in full to kick off set 2, which closes with Tom Sawyer. There are only 5 slots in the setlist which vary from one version to the next, so we'll see which of those we get ... or maybe yet another version? Or something completely different!? We'll find out in a few hours. Here's the full, expected setlist. The Boston-themed merch for the show is featured in this Instagram post, and early merch stands open up within the hour at 3PM at North Station, directly next to the Proshop at 84 Causeway St. Doors open at 6:30 and the show will start at 7:30 (ish).
