UPDATE - 9/25@2:36PM: PROG posted this article promoting the issue (thanks RushFanForever):

... "Obviously it's very fitting that Neil Peart's been voted the Greatest Prog Musician ever by the readers of Prog Magazine, given that he sadly passed away this year," says Prog magazine Editor Jerry Ewing. "But he's long been seen as a master of his profession for five decades now, and as the tributes from his peers in the new issue show, this is a more than deserving accolade. "The poll attracted our biggest ever vote over 80,000 votes so people take this stuff very seriously. The poll throws up more than its fair share of surprises but I think it's good to see it's not just the original old guard taking the prime positions. The influx of younger artists across more recent generations shows a healthy and broad range of age groups attracted by the music." Rounding out the top five of the poll were David Gilmour, fellow Rush member Geddy Lee, Rick Wakeman and Robert Fripp. ...

The latest edition of PROG magazine (issue 113) includes a cover feature on the Greatest Prog Musicians of All Time. The feature reveals the results of their extensive poll where they asked readers to vote for their favorite progressive rock musicians. The top 200 artists were included in the final list (see 101-200 here), with write-ups for the top 100. All three members of Rush made the top 10 including Alex Lifeson at #9, Geddy Lee at #4 and Neil Peart in the number one spot. The issue includes one-page write-ups for Alex and Geddy, and a 6-page profile of Neil Peart. Thanks to zepphead at The Rush Forum and RushFanForever for the info.
