UPDATE - 9/28@11:56AM: Rush's snubbing is one of the featured storied on the Yahoo! home page. The article is actually titled Guns N' Roses, Heart, Cure, Joan Jett Among First-Time Rock Hall Nominees and barely mentions Rush. But occasionally it's getting promoted on the home page as Rockers snubbed again by Hall of Fame along with a picture of Geddy and Alex. Here's a screenshot (thanks John at Cygnus-X1.net).

The list of nominees for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2012 was announced via the Rock Hall website this morning and - as we have come to expect - Rush was not on the list. A total of 15 nominees were chosen by the nominating committee this year including The Beastie Boys, The Cure, Guns 'N Roses, Heart, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Donna Summer. This certainly comes as no surprise, and there's really not much more to be said that hasn't been said already, so I'll just leave it at that.
