Just saw them in Charlotte Tuesday. It was my 14th Rush show since 1975. It was a good show but out of the 14 i've seen it was definitely at the bottom of the list. It was by far the worst production they've ever done. You can tell they're getting toward the end of their careers and are wanting to pocket as much money as possible. Hey...can't blame them...they deserve it! You could load all of their equipment on one semi. I loved when Geddy started making fun of all of Alexs' equipment by using appliances and such but I just wish Alex would stick with his equipment instead of props. The light show was simple and cheap looking. i'd prefer they just use PAR 64s like they used to use than all that 'Disco' looking crap. But, they for sure deserve to do it any way they want. Still the best band ever...IMO!! P.S. Love the strings but stick with your pedals Geddy. THAT'S RUSH!!

Incredible show. Incredible band. I caught a pick that Alex threw to the crowd in Greenville last year and mounted it with a picture of the moment he tossed it! Such a prized possession. No such luck this year but nonetheless another great experience. I love the strings and Neil's mini-solos throughout the show. CA is a great album and I would dare say it could be considered their masterwork, even rivaling the genius of Moving Pictures.
I was a bit concerned about the crowd energy in the beginning, but once they lit into The Analog Kid there was no doubt the crowd was into it and finally woke up. From then on, the energy in the arena was strong and maintained throughout the show. Cme back soon boys! And thanks for everything!

Had great seats in front of Alex. The dude is a clown, interacts with the fans, acknowledges the signs, and plays like a friggin' god. Seen a lot of shows, but usually end up on Geddy's side or middle. Alex was so engaging.

Much of the first set in "synth era", Power Windows type material. Not my favorite Rush and certainly not my favorite record, but the songs sound great today. I know some were complaining about the setlist, but for me, I was just going to hear the new record, Clockwork Angels. Having seen them at least 4 times on the Time Machine tour, playing all of the "hits", was just looking forward to the new material.

The band is sounding sharp, Geddy's voice in full bloom. The audio seems to have been re-routed on this tour. Couldn't even find amps for Alex. Also, they removed those audience wedges on the stage for the floor. Audio coming from up top and a massive "thumper", seemingly below the stage gave unbelievable boost to Neil's bass drums.

Did I mention how much I love the new record? The strings sound great and don't "compromise" some of the other songs they play, like YYZ. Favorite performance was The Garden.
Doesn't rock like the other songs, but a great sing-along and sway kind of performance.

Great show. Off to see the band in Atlanta tonight.

I am going to echo sentiments on the string section of adding to the quality of the show. I love strings when tastefully done. I was not sure how it would be when I first heard but they were great and it fit really well with the content of CA. Personally, I liked it.

What can you possibly say about the guys that has not been said!!
They are On The Top of The Game!! Such avid Professionals and plain
Great People!! Ged's voice is/was strong!! Alex is such a Character and
Absolutely monster last night! The Master was...The Master and so smooth
and on the Nuggets perfect!! The crowd and fans that is all of US are exciting,
interesting and downright great people from all walks of life!! I cannot even begin
To explain how much the band, fans, friends and music has been such a blessing
to this planet!! Not sure how or why the passed out fan in the 4 or 5th row would pay
Or enjoy a show from those seats and only be coherent for 20 minutes of the show
I will never understand! The String ensemble is and was so exciting and pro that adds
real depth and sound to the experience!!
What a RUSH!! Hoping for at least a few more shows and years!!
Not to forget special costumed musicians in midst of All Hallow's Eve!! On Stage

My 20th or so show since I first saw them in 1982, and I never fail to be impressed by the energy and the excellence they bring every night. Took my 16-year old son for his third Rush experience, ensuring that he'll always know what it looks like to see the absolute best of something - anything - and what passion, talent and perseverance can combine to create. My thanks to the band for the gift of the last 30+ years, and my hopes to see them a few more times before the curtain drops.

Awesomeness Joe ...we were your neighbor's right beside you last night.
I figured Alex would notice that sign of yours. They are such a great group of guys,
And after all the years of performing to the masses they still show they're gratitude.
Great night and great show.
Till next tour be well....

Faceman, I just saw the picture with you holding your sign! No wonder Alex loved it. Simply stated and straight from the heart. What an amazing experience that must've been for you. And to top ot all off, last night's show was fantastic!

Congratulations on receiving the gift of a lifetime :)

As if a pick from Alex weren't cool enough, I checked the Rush backstage club and they have a photo of me holding my sign during the show.

That's the icing on a very cool cake!

Great show tonight in Charlotte!

After 30 years of seeing Rush, I finally saw them from the front row. It gave me a great opportunity to thank Alex for inspiring me to pick up a guitar 28 years ago. I made a sign that read "I play guitar because of you" on one side and "Trade my pick for yours?" on the other side. Alex saw the sign and mouthed "nice sign" to me and during Neil's first drum solo I saw Alex talking to his tech and he pointed to me. A few minutes later Scott (his tech) came over and said he'd trade a pick for the sign. I gladly gave him my sign and got a pick from the master.

How freakin' cool is that!!!

A great show and a great night.

Rock on.

Joe
