Any establishment participating in the Oktoberfest going on this weekend.
ST. LOUIS The westbound lanes of Highway 40 will be closed this weekend through downtown St. Louis as part of ongoing resurfacing of the elevated highway.
MoDOT cautioned Illinois drivers to budget more time to reach events in downtown St. Louis or to consider using mass transit to avoid the closure. Westbound Highway 40 (Interstate 64) will be closed between the Poplar Street Bridge and 21st Street.
The closure will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and the section of highway is scheduled to reopen by 3 a.m. Monday.
MoDOT added that the Broadway, 10th Street and 14th Street onramps to westbound Highway 40 will be closed this weekend, but all are expected to reopen by early Monday.

According to google it's 1.9 miles so that's a bit more than a couple of blocks.

Before hand I would think so, after I'm sure there will be plenty of people out and about on a Saturday night. Only a block or two away. My plan is also to hit up Lacledes Landing link because we are staying by the arch and it is a great bar area for Friday or Saturday night.

Hey - how's the surroundings. Is/will it be safe to walk to Scottrade Center before and after the concert to Schlafly?

Schlafly Tap Room would be awesome. Good location & good beer.

Rumor has it a group is meeting at Schlafly Tap Room at 4:00pm. The north bar has enough room for a group. The more people that show up by 4:00 improves the chances of getting an area since they do not do reservations.

Eads or MLK will work. I'm not real familar with either but those I have spoken with think MLK would be the easiest.
Rocky Top, sure you got the right address on Locust? I mapped it only .9 mile link . Not arguing just making sure you got the right place.
Will meet all at Schafley's Pub ..... driving in Saturday. Will be there about 5. Who wants to meet and share good RUSH stories and good beer?
Hey Defenseman67 - can you take Eads Bridge or Martin Luther King bridge across to downtown, coming from Illinois, instead of I-64? Would that work?
Guys, I think I'll hit up the Schlafly Tap Room for an early dinner and a pint then head over to the arena and catch the concert.
Anyone that wants to do the Schlafly thing, I'll be the guy in the Rush shirt with the handlebar moustache sitting... somewhere.
Thanks for the heads up on the road construction defenseman67..
People coming from Illinois, be advised highway construction is going to make things difficult for you.
