DVD album update and yet another version of Snakes & Arrows with exclusive video download?!

UPDATE - 4/9@9:37AM: Best Buy customers who had pre-ordered the Snakes & Arrows DVD album are now receiving emails confirming the June 5th release date.

UPDATE - 4/5@10:56PM: DELAYED AGAIN! Power Windows is now reporting that the DVD album has been delayed ... again. It is now due to be released June 5th. Production delays are rumored to be the culprit. At this rate we won't see this thing until Christmas!

Power Windows also has some more details regarding Wal-mart's CD with video download:

In addition to the CD and Limited Edition offered elsewhere, Walmart is offering a CD version "with Exclusive Video Download". According to their website, "this package will include a video clip from the upcoming VH-1 Special on Rush." This upcoming VH-1 Special is obviously news in itself, but it has been confirmed that the "exclusive video" is a video of Geddy and Alex's appearance on XM's "Artist Confidential" from 2004. The video is obtained via a special code which is included either in the Walmart packaging or embedded in the CD itself, which allows the purchaser to download the video. Note, this video will NOT include the acoustic performances of "Heart Full of Soul" and "Resist", which were a part of the original audio broadcast which aired on XM Radio in Oct. 2004.

Two days ago most (but not all apparently) people who pre-ordered the Snakes & Arrows DVD album through Amazon.com received an email from them stating that the item was no longer available and instead suggested ordering the regular CD version. Then yesterday everyone who had pre-ordered the DVD through Best Buy also received an email confirming that the release had been pushed back to May 22nd as previously reported by Power Windows. And today Amazon.com's link to the DVD album was back up - this time correctly labeled as a DVD album and with the correct release date of May 22nd... get all that? :)

Now there is evidence of yet another version of the album; this time from Wal-Mart. Rush-O-Matic over at Counterparts noticed that the Wal-Mart website has two Snakes & Arrows products listed as available on May 1st; one is the regular CD and the other is a CD with exclusive video download. This 2nd version is not the DVD album or regular CD as it has a separate UPC code. It states that this package will include a video clip from the upcoming VH-1 Special on Rush. So it sounds like there will be some sort of Rush special aired on VH-1 in the near future. Cool stuff. I'll keep you posted as I learn more.
