More Snakes & Arrows album art?
Posted at 01:00 PM | comments (85)

Snakes & Arrows album coverUPDATE - 3/10@1:32PM: And here's a rough translation of the text on the German site where the image came from. It looks like Germany, where albums are released on Friday (thanks John E), will get the album a few days earlier than the US.

The release date for the new Rush album for our degree of latitude has been revealed. Recorded last fall and produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver), the album is due out on the 27th of April. The planned cover is already online (see right).

----- snip -----

UPDATE - 3/10@1:08PM: Actually, John E seems to have put this in the comments before anybody else. I got a lot of emails about it too. Thanks for helping out everybody! I appreciate it.

I like this one. It comes from this German site and although I can't verify the source it looks real to me - very Hugh Syme-ish. Thanks to reader Shane for the news.

This one looks alot more official, and definitely looks Hugh Symeish. I like :)
#2 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:13PM by Greg [contact]

I must be way too stoked about this -- bordering on fan-boy status, but looking again ... is that a rabbit? If so, a great tie-in to Presto, but even better to "Between the Wheels", given the lyrics we're hearing.
#3 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:14PM by Greg [contact]

And isn't that the desert highway from "Dreamline"??

It has to be.

(This cover could end up being like ESL.)
#4 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:14PM by Jim [contact]

Thanks Ed for all of your work in maintaining this site. It is appreciated.

I like both covers for Far Cry and this German originated cover...Both have so much symobology I'll be studying them for quite some time.

I cant wait for the album and the tour now...Im staying home this weekend with a case of beer and my RUSH albums and just listening....and drinking in anticipation!!!

Thanks

Ohh that looks as a very beautiful cover, and it look's RUsh-like too! Very nice, it looks like a true cover-art. I'm looking forward to see if it really is true, the sound of Far Cry is so good, so it must be a beautiful part of my collection!
#6 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:16PM by Frankie [contact]

That's not a rabbit, its a baby.
#7 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:18PM by Greg [contact]

Could be a baby, now that you mention it. If it is you've got amazing eyes -- or, more likely you think like Hugh.

Nice job, if you're right.
#8 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:20PM by Shane [contact]

It's a baby.
#9 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:20PM by Shane [contact]

Note the cradle in the other picture (lighting, rainbow).
#10 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:20PM by Jim [contact]

It's not a rabbit or a baby...it's achicken...and what is it doing, and why is it doing it?
#11 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:21PM by John [contact]

I think its way too literal and easy for a RUSH cover.

I think they are probably doing every concept they can think of and leaking it out one by one and THE cover will be later. Just like R30 had several concepts and they went with the really simple one. It wouldn't surprise me if they ultimately have planned a solid color with RUSH S&A on it with a small snake and arrow figure and that's it.

Maybe it's a baby in the road...Baby Jesus
#12 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:21PM by Greg [contact]

Hmmm .... hadn't noticed that.

NOT.
#13 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:23PM by Greg [contact]

Even *with* the aforementioned stroller/cradle, I vote chicken!! That's just too funny not to be it!

; )
#14 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:24PM by Wayne [contact]

Notice the road sign (shape of a snake with an arrow point on top). As alway, a great play on words! Reminds me of Perminant waves.
#15 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:25PM by Mark Wallace [contact]

This stuff just keeps getting cooler!
#16 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:44PM by David [contact]

Fantastic! This looks great.
#17 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:44PM by Eric D. [contact]

Now THAT's ****in' sweet!!!!!
#18 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:53PM by John [contact]

Upon further examination the thing in the road is clearly a "Jackalope".

That would make a great RUSH instrumental...Where's My Jackaolope...Leave that Jackalope Alone...YYJackalope

Gangster of Strollers
#19 - Posted 3/10/07 @1:59PM by Wayne [contact]

Also upon further observation of the street sign notice that there are no curves ahead for miles
#20 - Posted 3/10/07 @2:10PM by Scott_In_Tampa [contact]

This definitely looks more like a Hugh Syme cover.
#21 - Posted 3/10/07 @2:16PM by nobby [contact]

That cover looks like a rip-off of a Pearl jam cover and those black borders and font look like a bad photoshop job. Ugghhh I hope that's not the cover...
#22 - Posted 3/10/07 @2:19PM by D- [contact]

Cant think of the album, but, doesnt it look a little like the Pink Floyd cover?

I like the arrows on the left side. Its a baby near the windy road sign and a snake going right at it! Kinda freakish!

The headliner is written in GUP fonts!

But, it is very much Hugh!

D!
#23 - Posted 3/10/07 @2:22PM by D- [contact]

Forgot to add, it looks very much like something from Ghost Rider!

D~
#24 - Posted 3/10/07 @2:49PM by Wayne in Wyoming [contact]

Is that the baby that is in the baby carriage on the pier being struck by lightning? The picture is unmistakenly Hugh.
#25 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:05PM by bytor2070 [contact]

Has anyone with connections to Anthem ever asked if there will be a DVD for this album yet? I noticed in a recent post that someone has a "friend" at Anthem and they asked them about the track listings. Wouldn't it be interesting to know if there will be a DVD with this album?
#26 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:10PM by Ian Buonamici [contact]

Very similar to Pearl Jam's "Yield" album cover.
#27 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:11PM by newsted [contact]

this looks f***** awesome. Can't wait for the new album...
#28 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:18PM by Wayne in Wyoming [contact]

I was messing around on Ebay and I found this interesting Rush item....(no, this is not my item up for bidding).

link

Kind of cool.
#29 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:18PM by JordanRud [contact]

It vaguely looks like the Yield cover from Pearl Jam but not even close... This one has a lot more details, symbols etc... The only distinctive sign on the Pearl jam cover is the Yield road sign... The Rush one has a lot more details, is much more sophisticated...
#30 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:33PM by Craig [contact]

Great sounding material here. These guys are just musical geniuses in the way they construct there tunes. Does anyone think we'll get a 4 hour show this time around? I just hope they don't play songs like rtb and red sector A. Can anyone tell me if there are certain songs that they can't/won't play live? I'm dying to hear songs like cut to the chase or afterimage, just to name a few.
#31 - Posted 3/10/07 @3:59PM by jediyyz [contact]

Craig, I think we all have certain songs we would love to hear "out of the vault"..."Camera Eye" always seems to head the list, however, Rush said it was one they couldn't see playing(at least for R30)...I for one would like to hear as many songs from S&A as possible...and Freeze and Vapor Trails and Digital Man and.......................
#32 - Posted 3/10/07 @4:13PM by Mark Wallace [contact]

I hope they play the entire S&A album!
#33 - Posted 3/10/07 @4:22PM by OrgasmatronYYZ at Youtube [contact]

Craig, I would love to see them play the whole 2112 once again, as they did on the Test For Echo-Tour. Or In the Mood. Xanadu WITH the silent intro. Or Maybe they could make a new Overture for the next tour, I loved the R30 Overture and listened to it over and over!

John (@ 1:21) catched something in his comment, he might be right.. Maybe it's just a promotion-thing for the album. It's a cover you look at in more than 5 seconds. Right now I've been looking at it for more than a few minutes..
#34 - Posted 3/10/07 @4:25PM by jim [contact]

They won't play "Losing It" that's for sure...I read someplace where although they know fans want "the camera eye" it's not fun/entertaining to play live. They probably wont play "the necromancer" or most of caress of steel for that matter.."Rivindell"...wont hear that live..."madrigal" that's one..."Broons Bane" will probably never be played live again...hell they have so many songs Im killing mysekf just trying to think of them all..just go see 'em live and find out what they play.
#35 - Posted 3/10/07 @4:50PM by Broonskey [contact]

Did someone say my name? (Broons Bane, haha).

Now this and the other picture (and the stairway) are like the kick-ass artwork I've come to expect from Rush/Hugh! Even if it's just all promotional, it is sooo much better than that ugly "sperms and arrows" crap pasted over a tacky new age looking silly game board.

Is it Monday yet?
#36 - Posted 3/10/07 @5:03PM by Redlinedrummer [contact]

"Sperms and Arrows" hahahahahahahaah LMOA Broon
#37 - Posted 3/10/07 @5:15PM by Dan Menapace [contact]

It's a baby...
#38 - Posted 3/10/07 @5:45PM by Broonskey [contact]

Well Redline, it's what I first thought when I first saw it. I didn't want to say it earlier (with the draconian censorship nonsense on here) but I saw others on other forums calling it similar names so I decided what the hell?

Oh yea, and that is definitely a infant in the pic.
#39 - Posted 3/10/07 @5:51PM by Mike Hine [contact]

This is gonna be the best Rush album ever
#40 - Posted 3/10/07 @6:30PM by Thom [contact]

If indeed THIS is the album cover, THEN the album deserves a round of applause.....

the giant arrows I recognized off the back ---- they are arrows along Interstate 40 (30 miles east of FLagstaff, Arizona)---- Two Guns, Arizona exactly in what appears an abanboned 'ol' Trading Post named appropriately named TWO ARROWs (only there are three on the album cover). Truckers and travelers on I-40 use the area as a rest stop but being to close to Flagstaff, many keep going through.

The reason for the arrows was a tourist attraction as if to show how the white man's trading post in the "ol' west" had been under attack by wild indians. American Indians are prevelant in the area (Navajos, Hopis, and Apaches). The stopover attraction was made famous during the US route 66 across America --- that has now been replaced by Interstate 40 though parts and portions of US route 66 (get your kicks on route 66) still remain open for local use.

Imagine Neil Peart stopping at the site during his trek on bike ---- Meteor Crater is southwest of a Two Guns whereas, Winslow, AZ ("....standing on a corner in Winslow, AZ....") is about 20 more miles east on I-40.

U2 referenced their album (The Joshua Tree) in the desert too --- "....Desert sky dream beneath the desert sky!.....In God's country...."

I like it ---- I like it alot --- the artist conceptual vision of snakes across a desert highway whereas the arrows are further down the road.

What does the baby represent a new beginning?
#41 - Posted 3/10/07 @6:31PM by Earthshiner [contact]

More like it ... I knew it was screwed up if Hugh Syme copied a game board for an album cover ... that would be worthless. ... this looks much more like a real deal.
#42 - Posted 3/10/07 @6:47PM by Broonskey [contact]

Perhaps the infant represents "eternal reoccurrence of the same" in Nietzschean sense?

link

A stretch I know, but a fascinating (although logically fallacious) concept and perhaps applicable to this album's overall context.
#43 - Posted 3/10/07 @7:04PM by Stjamar [contact]

Quick observation... Is it just me or does the font used for RUSH on the cover of Snakes and Arrows looks a lot like the font on Grace Under Pressure.
#44 - Posted 3/10/07 @7:30PM by Jake [contact]

Truthfully, this cover looks like a RUSH reject - and then Hugh Syme pitched it to Megadeth or Queensryche.
#45 - Posted 3/10/07 @7:32PM by Tony [contact]

"There it 'tis!!!"
"Where? Behind the Rabbit?"
"No! 'Tis the rabbit!"
Monty Python..

Sorry... had to do that.
Definately a baby.
Definately Grace Under Pressure font
Definately a sweet clip
De-de-de-definately can't wait to see Rush in concert AGAIN.
I think the baby in the road is just to add a sense of panic...cuz... there's a baby.. and.. like.. he's in the middle of the road.. and stuff. That would freak me out....well.. it if was my baby. :)
#46 - Posted 3/10/07 @7:46PM by hyf [contact]

One thing I noticed is that the road doesnt seem to follow the sign- except it could if the windy part is down a hill. Good touch, even if not the cover.
#47 - Posted 3/10/07 @7:52PM by Dino [contact]

Three arrows, three members of the band.
#48 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:03PM by Vic [contact]

If that's the road by Two Guns Arizona, then maybe the baby in the middle of the road is Arizona too- Raising Arizona? This newest cover, which looks the most official of them all, looks really good. We need a larger image tho. I'm sure that will come soon.
#49 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:15PM by D- [contact]

K, in response to Thom... If, and I am saying if this is truly the cover. Lets just say and ask, if the indians/native americans take this in and are looking for some national news. They can treat it as the the 'tomahawk chop' Alanta Braves and I think that there were 2 other major teams along with a few coll's, team mascots which have resulted in changes and etc.

Then what should we expect?

I would have to guess that maybe we should expect to see RUSH, Ray and Hugh on Larry King Live at some point. Other than that making national headlines of the indians not agreeing with the concept of arrows and the snake heading towards the baby. I think that we'll also see a few others head out there to slam this!

I can see the headlines now with no offense to anyone... 'Indians claims suit against Pirates'! Ah, I made myself laugh out loud!

But, Seattle Snow Dog might agree with me as we live around charted indian lands and casinos and see this nearly on a daily basis of the laws that they try to enforce. Some which I agree with and some I dont!

Personally, I find nothing offensive about it (am Irish) and if this in fact the true cover for 'S&A'. I love it! For me, it's ranking right up there with the GUP cover which I think is the sweetest of all. No attacks needed, just my thoughts and I didnt say anything sucked!

I really do have to add this. When all of the stir came about the guys going back 20 something years. I dusted off the old stuff which I really havent listened to in a while (AF2K, HEMP, Careless) Yeah, yeah, I know that I shouldnt let the dust collect on those. But, I've have a taste for GUP on up!

But, 1 of my boys really digs RUSH. They other is more into Korn and what I call static. (blame my age) Anyway, I was listening to 'In The End' yesterday and the Korn son, was like, who's this, this is so cool? I didnt tell him till it was over as he was kinda tilting his head back and forth. He really dug it. When I told him it was RUSH, he went 'duh' for a moment and asked me to burn it for him!

So, keep our fingers crossed as I just might draw him over and add another fan who disagrees with me and dislikes RUSH... Even though he went to R30!

I cannot begin to tell you how sore it is to love these guys and have your kid say, these guys suck! It hurts! (let it go Broons and Jed, I didnt say it)

But, it was great listening to the old stuff all over again and the memories came pouring in (hint zig zag) But, they're staying out and I think that maybe we should start pouring some of the old stuff onto the next generation! Some of these kids need to know who influenced their bands!

D~
#50 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:15PM by Vic [contact]

I just pulled out my copy of Yield, and I do see parallels . But Rush's cover is better.
#51 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:16PM by Botcherby [contact]

It looks so much like Pearl Jam's Yield...
the arrows look out of place
I liked the Carraige one better
#52 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:26PM by Vic [contact]

Yeah, the lightning baby in the pram one was wicked hard core. Maybe that will be the back cover?
#53 - Posted 3/10/07 @8:41PM by Picard2112 [contact]

Who says that there is only one cover?
#54 - Posted 3/10/07 @9:34PM by Greg [contact]

Let ask the man who always seems to know what's going on with S&A's artwork.... Ahem, ... paging John E, paging John E .....
#55 - Posted 3/10/07 @9:41PM by D- [contact]

Heres my 2 cents.

The road with the baby and meanie little snake. Front

The lightning striking. Inside behind the cd.

The stairway with upside down cross. Inside behind the credits page.

But, what 'if' these arent the real covers or artwork? I'd have to think that we've got a baby hater on our hands!

And dont bash me for being a baby hater... I have 6 kids!!!

D~
#56 - Posted 3/10/07 @10:11PM by John E [contact]

Well...this is all guessing of course.

Based on what we know for sure, the band really feels proud of this work and that they have had a Dream team
help them put this together. (Producer and Sound Engineer)

It's also being pushed by Atlantic harder than any of their previous releases.

So, with that in mind..I think this CD is going to be full of different art and images with some sort of theme being built around that baby. The theme has so many differnt visuals to build upon (Snakes and Arrows).

We have already seen it in 2 different pics. One in a cradle and one in the middle of a road.

I think every track will have an image to go along with the lyrics. I've been trying to decipher this for a while.

I'll say this though. Depending on how much reading Neil has been doing on Hinud philosiphy and mythology, I think the Main Monkey Business may have a refernce to a Hindu Monkey King or God named Hanuman.

Hanuman is the epitome of wisdom, valor, righteousness and strength. In Hindu mythology, there is no blessing he can not bestow and one of his greatest acts was likened to that of a teacher helping an individual soul realize the divine.

Or not..maybe its just them jamming out. He's written about stuff based on Greek mythology, why not Hindu mythology ?
#57 - Posted 3/10/07 @10:29PM by Greg [contact]

Not bad, John E., not bad at all. We'll take it.

Thanks.
#58 - Posted 3/10/07 @10:41PM by D- [contact]

John, 2 quicky little questions... You wrote that we've seen 2 diffrent pixs. Whatta about the first that we saw with the stairway then the other with the snakes and arrows?

2nd. Where have you been gathering all of this and why are you feeding it to us?

Am not trying to take the flame outta the fire. Just would like to know how the fire's started without 'official' word!

D~
#59 - Posted 3/10/07 @11:03PM by John E [contact]

D~,

The "2" pix I referred to were pics w/ baby. I guess we have seen a total of 4 pics right ?
Leela gameboard, Stairs + 2 baby pics Lightning and Road w/sign. I just think Hugh is building on to something. It just seems too odd. That baby has some drama happening.

As for me feeding the info,Greg had asked for my thoughts These are totally off the wall thoughts and guesses. It would be neat if I was right ! I'm posting so that I have proof that I thought right. I know I have 2 witnesses. LOL
#60 - Posted 3/10/07 @11:28PM by Mark Wallace [contact]

Set the picture as background. The baby appears to be looking up - above the arrows. There also looks like there is a steer skull or something beside the road a bit further up.
#61 - Posted 3/11/07 @12:18AM by Dino [contact]

I have to ask......where does evryone see the 'big push' from the A&R guys? I mean, every music outlet I've been to, or periodical has s**t in it, and this is in T.O. Nothing 'official' from the main site. If there was a 'big push' wpould it not originate from there first? Yes, I know that RUSH.COM is very latent in any info releasing. non the less....

Except for this, and numerous other sites HUNTING for info, I don't see anything that hasn't been done before.

EVERY single released has a new image with the single's release. See CP for evidence. Remember the salt & pepper shakers?

Just a few points I thought I'd throw out.
#62 - Posted 3/11/07 @12:25AM by David [contact]

Can anyone make out the background image? I'm talking about the black on black images that make up the border. On the Far Cry image, it appears to be some sort of snake head. On the Snakes & Arrows cover, I've yet to discern any specific shapes.
#63 - Posted 3/11/07 @12:38AM by Thom Sawyer [contact]

I've attached a link this x to show where Two Guns, AZ is located and the Trading Post Twin Arrows Trading Post.

All of this is along Arizona Route Old US 66, Treasure of the OPen Road (appropriately named as Neil did so much time no the open road).

Just looking at the picture of this once active Trading Post and the sense of isolation and openness to land gives ME a sense of what the album cover feels like.

Interesting to feel the album cover (if it is) from viewing the picture in comparison with viewing photo shots of Two Guns, AZ....
#64 - Posted 3/11/07 @12:50AM by creole diva [contact]

I prefer the "church stairway" picture and it looks more official. Where did these Germans get this anyway??????
#65 - Posted 3/11/07 @7:00AM by eye [contact]

This is really getting to me! I DREAMT ABOUT A NEW RUSH VIDEO! It showed a sort of pyramid, and the POV flew right into it, through an entrance hall then weaving round passages, all covered in hieroglyphs and symbols. Then, it stopped at a darkened door and Geddy walks out, singing, past the camera which tracks back to try and keep up. There was an abandoned black leather man's shoe on the floor. This drove me potty trying to figure out its meaning. I was watching all the hieroglyphs too to try and spot something, but nothing obvious jumped out. Then I was talking to somebody about the video and he wasn't that impressed.

I've never dreamt about a video, a band or Rush. This is either very good, or very bad. Okay not that bad.
#66 - Posted 3/11/07 @8:04AM by Picard2112 [contact]

If you take the image and blow out the brightness in photoshop you will see that the bands at the top and the bottom of the image are not just solid black...they are the same texture that is on the Far Cry Promo image. Which in my opinion is just a texture (there does not seem to be any hidden imagery)
#67 - Posted 3/11/07 @9:01AM by Greg [contact]

I *do* hear MFH in the Far Cry clip. Listen to it next to "Grace to Grace". I like the new stuff better -- the trio is always better than the solo. Always.

Paraphrasing:

"Apart, we are an idiot, together, we are a genius."
#68 - Posted 3/11/07 @9:43AM by Greg [contact]

I know this won't be a popular observation, but I also get a strong resemblance in the riffage between "Far Cry" & "Virtuality".

(I know, I know, the "Net boy, net girl" chorus is a bit cheesy, but that song pretty much rocks otherwise.)
#69 - Posted 3/11/07 @10:24AM by C. Felix [contact]

Ya think anyone "offical" reads this stuff? All this posting?

"Hey Hugh!"
"What's up Neil?"
"They think its a baby in the carriage!"
"Suckers..."
#70 - Posted 3/11/07 @10:31AM by Vic [contact]

I think I heard a slight resemblance to a riff in Red Barchetta.

Thom- all this talk about Two Guns and Twin Arrows got me googling and I saw a picture of two giant arrows in the ground, positioned exactly as the album cover, under the headline "Twin Arrows Trading Post, Arizona". It says:

"Another casualty of the Interstate is located a few miles east of Winona where old Route 66 started to climb into the wooded foothills of the Colorado Plateau. Twin Arrows Trading Post, just recently closed, with the price of gas frozen at $1.39 a gallon, and the last hamburger sold." The link is www.theroadwanderer.net/RT66trading.htm

Therefore I conclude that: if this is the album art, it is obviously directly inspired by Neil's travels by this place. The road in the cover art is Route 66 and the 3 arrows are based on the Twin Arrows Trading Post's 2 arrows, although of course 3 arrows had to be used in the art for obvious reasons. The religious themes in the album were at least in part inspired by Neil seeing the religious billboards along his motorcyle travels during the R30 tour, and when he happened by the Twin Arrows, he made a mental note that he obviously recalled while discussing the album art with Hugh.
#71 - Posted 3/11/07 @11:21AM by John E [contact]

Hey Thom Sawyer,

Good eye. You are correct with the similarities of the Twin Arrows. We talked about it yesterday morning in "Far Cry: Promo Image" postings. I left a link too. Where's your link ?

I'm wondering if its the same image. Hugh changed the feathers a little but certainly got his inspiration from it. Of course he needed to add one more arrow. :)
#72 - Posted 3/11/07 @11:59AM by Vic [contact]

The more I look at this new cover the more I like it. The 'road snakes ahead' sign to the right of the road well balances the snake towards left and arrows at left. And that snake looks mean and nasty. And it's in wide screen 16:9 aspect.

Someone prior mentioned seeing some design in the black letterbox areas- i think i kinda see something. If this is the cover, I'm really happy!! I wonder if we'll see these images come to life in the films during the concert.
#73 - Posted 3/11/07 @12:42PM by Kurt [contact]

I like it too...I think someone made the comment about pictures for each song...that would be cool too....I really dig the water/lightening classic baby carraige pic. I want that as a Poster, when anyone finds that or gets that....lets make that happen.
#74 - Posted 3/11/07 @1:58PM by Kelly [contact]

Hi had thought it was a rabbit too, Greg. But I couldn't be sure. A baby makes sense. Very cool album art and I am glad it's not going to be just the Snakes & Arrows game board!
#75 - Posted 3/11/07 @3:26PM by Eddie [contact]

That doesn't look like the actual cover, it looks like part of the S&A booklet, an image to represent one of the songs. I think this is just a "working cover" I'm pretty sure the real cover has yet to be revealed...
#76 - Posted 3/11/07 @3:54PM by chet [contact]

that's it... i can sense it!
#77 - Posted 3/11/07 @4:01PM by bacchus platty [contact]

No that's definitely a fake cover...
#78 - Posted 3/11/07 @8:38PM by Eric D. [contact]

Yeah I thought I heard some Virtuality in it, too. I hope it's the albums cover, the carriage one is for Far Cry, and the Stairs are for the DVD. Heck everyone might be right the twin forks one.

That cover is a hack photoshop mess. Abysmal. Hyme may have created the image but I doubt he created that hideous font and black border.

In response to eye:

("I've never dreamt about a video, a band or Rush. This is either very good, or very bad. Okay not that bad.")

I've had numerous vivid Rush dreams. Some of the best include the three members of Rush were made into plush Beanie-Baby dolls; then one dream where they ALL grew handlebar mustaches; and my favorite dream, i'm in the front pew of church and the band is on the altar, in concert, playing Hemispheres live, note for note.

Now, a dream about snakes and arrows... well, that's too ripe for analysis.

Am I the only one that can see the similarity between this Rush cover and the Pearl Jam "Yield" cover: [ link ]

Looking forward to hearing the whole thing, reading the lyrics, like always.

Great site.

A few years ago I dreamt that they pulled up in front of my parents' house near Paris in a long limo and took me for a ride. That was cool! I was pissed off that is was just a dream when I woke up.
