Rush Time Machine Tour house music list
11:42AM EST | comments (41) |

Rush Time Machine TourIn the couple of hours leading up to show time on Rush's Time Machine Tour, an eclectic mix of classic and progressive rock music can be heard from the house speakers. On the Snakes & Arrows Tour this list of Neil's House Music was posted over at Rush.com and is still there if you want to see it. But no such list exists for the Time Machine Tour house music ... that is - until now. Rush's tour photographer and master of disaster (pyrotechnician if you prefer) John Arrowsmith recently got his hands on this list and sent it my way. He also promises to post it up on Rush.com in the near future. Without further ado, here are the Time Machine ShowTunes:

Tommy Overture - The Who
School - Supertramp
Hells Bells - Bruford
Dancing With the Moonlit Knight - Genesis
Aqualung - Jethro Tull
I Ain't Superstitious - Jeff Beck Group

A Quick One While He's Away - The Who (Live from "Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus")
In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson

Dream Theatre doesn't ever seem to appear in the house-music play list.... does anyone know why (i.e. Neil isn't a fan?)

Once upon a time when I should have taken a left turn at Albuquerque for breakfast in America, I ordered Gershons and Eggs and a Bloody 'Crosseyed' Mary link
at Bubba's Bar and Grill, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt ;)

As you know Neil has been a Bruford fan since the early days as I have been as well! very nice to see he added U.K. to his setlist this year and I remember hearing In The Dead Of Night at the show in the SF Bay Area!

#34 it's Peter Gabriel singing with Genesis.

The song is "Dancing with the Moonlit Knight" from the album "Selling England by the Pound"

I see the list but still cannot figure out what this song is (taped it long before the show started as you can see...). Is it one of the songs from the list? Click here to see what I'm talking about...

Lots of King Crimson. Well 2 slots but Bill Bruford's Hell's Bells. Not to be confused with AC/DC.
