UPDATE - 8/2@9:38AM: RushFanForever also notes that the film will be getting a limited theatrical release starting September 2nd through D&E Entertainment - the same distributor that handled the Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage theatrical release. All the details along with theaters/showtimes can be found at this link.

The Canadian vampire horror/comedy flick Suck was released to theaters in Canada back in October of 2009 and had its US premier at the SXSW Film Festival in March in Austin, TX on Wednesday March 17th. Alex Lifeson makes an appearance in the movie as a border guard. You can get a glimpse of Alex in the film's trailer at this link (at about the 1:50 mark). The movie will be released to DVD and Blu-ray on September 28th and is currently available for pre-order (thanks RushFanForever).

Alex and Rob Stefaniuk talk about the movie in this 102.1 The Edge interview podcast (at about the 14 minute mark, runs 9 minutes) from just before the Canadian premier at the Toronto Film Festival last September. Here are some photos of Alex from the Suck premier: [photo 1] [photo 2] [photo 3]. And here's a bootleg video of Alex at the Suck after party at the Phoenix Theatre in Toronto. He joined the band Burning Brides onstage for the song Flesh and Bone which appears on the movie's soundtrack. Here's the trailer:
