Posted at 11:01AM | comments (10)

[Bubba's Book Club: ISSUE 14 - December, 2009]

Neil Peart recently updated the Bubba's Book Club section of his website where he reviews and recommends books that he's been reading. In this - his 14th installment since the launch of his site - Neil reviews the following books: Zeitoun by Dave Eggers, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace, The Good Life by Jay McInerney, In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje, The Brothers K by David James Duncan and The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.

My next read will definitely be "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Really enjoyed Neil's review of it!

Wonder if anyone has taken a look at the books Neil has read and reviewed at his website, and then taken a look at his lyrics to see any connections, references, influences?

Does anyone know if Neil is planning to write another book? I just finished Roadshow (the last one of his books I had left to read), and I really enjoyed it.

Being a huge David Foster Wallace fan, I always wondered if Neil had ever read any of his stuff. Now knowing that he's just discovering his works, I can't wait to see if and when Neil comments on his magnum opus, Infinite Jest.
