New special edition Rush Starman statue to be released

Thu, Jul 16, 2009@5:48PM | comments removed/disabled

Late last year Knucklebonz - an online company specializing in realistic hi-end sculptures of various rock musicians - released their first statue based on album art; a limited edition Rush Starman statue. The statues stand approximately 9" tall and are painted in a hi-gloss silver paint in front of the red/black star to deliver a 3D version of the iconic Rush logo. You can check out several high-res pics of the product at this link. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is officially licensed through Rush and Anthem Entertainment. In celebration of Rush being selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year, Knucklebonz has created a special limited edition Hollywood Walk of Fame version of the statue with gold trim which is imprinted with the signatures of all 3 band members. Only 500 of these statues will be created and they'll be sold exclusively through the Rush Backstage Club. One of the statues has already been donated to the RushCon Charity Auction by the Rush Backstage Club and can be seen at this link. The statue will soon be available for purchase at the Rush Backstage Club but I don't have any information on the exact date or the price yet. Thanks to John at Cygnus-X1.net for the heads up.
