Geddy and Alex That Metal Show interview pictures

UPDATE - 10/22@4:40PM: That GoTickets.com mystery Rush date mentioned below has been debunked. They just have it listed wrong. It's for the Oregon Ballet Theatre's performance of Rush: The Ballet. I figured it was something like this. Thanks to rushisgreat for the heads up.

Last Wednesday night Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were interviewed by Eddie Trunk for VH1 Classic's upcoming new program That Metal Show. rbichamp from The Rush Forum was lucky enough to attend the taping and took a few pictures which you can see by clicking on the thumbnails above. There will be 8 shows for the first season which premiers on November 15th. It's not clear yet when the Rush interview will air, but it will be the last show of the season and also feature Ace Frehley. Eddie Trunk posted an update to his blog last week talking about the appearance. Here's an excerpt:

... Yesterday's final two shows featured Ace Frehley and Alex and Geddy from Rush as in studio guests. What a way to wrap up Season 1! I can not thank Alex and Geddy enough. The guys flew to NYC in and out on the same day just to do my show only. It's an honor to be able to call the Rush guys friends over the last few years and I am so grateful. To have artists of this caliber willing to step up for me like this is unreal. We had some fun with the guys and talked about their new DVD. They both were entertaining and very funny and seemed to have a good time. Was also cool to see Ace and Rush interact backstage. Rush opened more shows for Kiss then any band in the 70's and the stories and old memories were flowing in the halls and around the makeup room. Was just great to watch these legends interact and catch up. ...

According to some secondhand reports of the taping, they were asked if they would be taking a break for a while and Geddy stated I think we will be doing one more tour. And he said it in a fashion as to not insinuate one more tour EVER, but rather one more tour before taking any extended break. So this seems to add credence to the rumor that the band will be touring next summer. I'm also still hearing that there is an offer from Live Nation on the table and the band should be making a decision within the next few weeks. Adding fuel to the fire is this post at GoTickets.com claiming that Rush will be playing the Keller Auditorium in Portland on April 18th. I find this highly unlikely since that venue has a maximum capacity of 3000 plus the fact that no other brokers have the show listed. It's a bit early to be talking about tour dates I'd say!
