Rush's 2112 makes Rock Hall's Definitive 200 album list

The National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced that they will co-host, along with EMI Music Marketing, a special press conference today to introduce their Definitive 200 list; 200 classic albums and soundtracks selected by music retailers that should be in every music collection. The list was revealed yesterday - lo and behold ... Rush is actually on the list! Barely. Their 1976 prog masterpiece 2112 made the cut at number 198. Rush has a long history of being snubbed by the Rock Hall so this sort of comes as a surprise to me. Some of the albums on the list are ... let's say ... questionable, but what list isn't? Of course, if I had any say 2112 would be number 1. :)

You can check out the entire list here. Thanks to reader Dave for the heads up.
