Rush have a *lot* to owe kiss from their early years, we all know this

For the older fans, little exercise so indulge me for a sec, you can close your eyes or not but try to remember back as best u can to 1974, and imagine the state of the country, music whatever, and then picture rush driving *A* van with them and their gear in it to play as many shows as possible, yea, not a very rosy pic huh?

With one cd, barely playing on the radio opening for a band that for all intents
Is not very good, but nonetheless gave them a chance

I personally Change the station when kiss comes on, and In my book
Are not remotely interesting but I'll call them rock porn bc for a kid in the
70s, it was all about the visual, and the fire and blood and sh*t

Yea a crazy ass show, oh, with music

They should def lt ace and Peter up there, hell 'Beth' is one if not their best song
Ever, thank you Peter.

And really, if you read the stories of rush and kiss, it was ace and Peter who were
Their pals, not so much the other 2, even tho they are cordial with each other

Nirvana first ballot...wow, from a basically home made cassette release in 1988 damn
Not a big fan but, yea im shocked

Cat Stevens amazing songwriter and human, one must review his devotion, just amazing

Love hall and oates, I'm a child of the 80s too and damn their tunes have held up good over the years

My iPhone loves to capitalize sorry about that

Speaking of musicologists, it appears that musical geniuses Kiss have made it into the RRHOF but Deep Purple and Yes have been BOTH passed over:

Now, I realize that Rush fans are supposed to have respect for Kiss and their good relations with the boys over the years. I also realize the whole "Kiss Army" and large fan base and "rock and roll as a show" pioneers bits, but come on: are you telling me that "Dr Love" and "Christeen Sixteen" and "Lick it Up" are going to get into the RRHOF before "Highway Star" and "Roundabout?"

I suspect they didn't want to have too many years in a row with Prog artists, so they threw in a token "Heavy Metal" act.

The name speaks for itself.

@ Taurus Pedal Boy...A musicologist is one level below musical scientist...Remember Slobovich being questioned by O'Malley...just think musical genius.

I, for one, haven't needed a Listener's Companion in book form so far after 30 years of following Rush. I've got all the Companions I need right here on RIAB.....

OK, I'll be the first to ask. What on earth is a "musicologist" and how does one earn such a lofty-sounding title? Something tells me that merely calling yourself a "musicologist" makes you a "musicologist"!
