Rush in Los Angeles gearing up for Rock Hall induction, 2013 tour

Rush has spent the last week and a half in Los Angeles gearing up for their upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction Thursday and the 2013 leg of the Clockwork Angels tour, which kicks off next Tuesday in Austin. Geddy and Alex flew into town to join Neil back on Saturday, April 6th and documentary filmmaker Eric Merola happened to be on the same flight out of Toronto - and so was Richard Simmons! Merola put together a hilarious YouTube video documenting the experience which you can check out below or at this location. The band then spent the last week in Van Nuys rehearsing for the tour. Neil Peart drum tech Lorne Wheaton tweeted earlier today that the band was now done in Van Nuys and off to Nokia for the next 2 days. And Neil Peart's West Side Beemer Boyz Twitter feed posted this photo of their bikes getting shipped off to Austin because they won't have time to ride them out there. At some point Alex and Neil took a break to hang out at Police drummer Stewart Copeland's pad. Earlier today Copeland tweeted a photo of Alex, Neil and others jamming in his studio with the caption Guess who came to dinner (thanks Carlos). And Geddy took some time out at some point to have lunch with fellow Rock Hall inductee Nancy Wilson of Heart, which he spoke about in his Toronto Sun interview from earlier today. Geddy and Alex will also participate in a Q&A after a screening of Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage at the ArcLight Cinema in LA later tonight. Tomorrow they'll be prepping/rehearsing for Thursday's Rock Hall induction ceremony, then it's off to Austin for the tour.
