I really wonder if Weird Al Yankovic, as the master of parody, would do a tribute to Rush? I can definitely see him doing, 'The Analogy Kid,' 'The Hay The Wind Blows,' 'Available Flight,' and 'Tom's Lawyer.' I think that rhyming Peart would be a little difficult, unless you pronounced it as part. Please imagine these lyrics to Tom's Lawyer:

A modern day, litigator
With a great, golf drive
Today's Tom's Lawyer
suing to survive.

Yes his mind is now for rent
To every god and government
Always wealthy, but discontent
He knows client's are permanent
But cash is.

So, what you say about his company
Is what you'll say about society
Well dressed men in suits they'll be
The court room.

When the 3 L.P. set Archives (the fist 3 Rush albums) was released in 1978 my friend John called me up to tell me "Rush have a new album out and it is called R Chives" (a small onion)!

Exactly, "Time Stands Still" is the complete opposite of the meaning of the song. Time DOESN'T stand still and the correct title is a plea or a wish or a demand. That one and "Spirit of the Radio" are the ones that bother me the most.

#8 YES! You talk about changing the meaning of a song, IMO. "Time Stand Still" (correct) being a directive, a command, as opposed to "Time Stands Still" simply being descriptive. Besides, i think Time Stands Still was a play?

"Time Stands Still" -- another common misnomer.

I would think "Anthems" is probably correct and intentional for the album title.

"Spirit of the Radio" drives me crazy too, though.

#4 Reminds me of "Spirit of the Radio". That still drives me bananas...

Anthrax and Thrash Metal in general was one of my early loves before I discovered Rush, so this is all cool to me.

Couple of other sites say the album (EP) title is "Anthems," not "Anthem"...

It seems there was no El Dorado, but amazing gold nonetheless: link

I can feel the big band influence on Neil's writing more here, somehow...
