[What a Rush! Unique band headed to Louisville for concert]

Tomorrow night Rush will bring the Time Machine Tour to Louisville, Kentucky - playing there for the first time since they hit the Louisville Garden back on April 9th, 1988 on the Hold Your Fire tour. Jeffrey Lee Puckett of the Louisville Courier-Journal penned an article over the weekend titled What a Rush! Unique band headed to Louisville for concert which previews the show and includes several interview snippets from fans, including some yahoo named Ed Stenger:

... “Rush fans are unlike any other,” said Ed Stenger, 41, an Internet programmer and Web developer from Cleveland. “There are no casual Rush fans — you love them or you don't. There's very little middle ground.” ...

... Stenger said that he fell for the band because of its combination of rock, science fiction and philosophy. That was enough, but it grew into a relationship that many Rush fans share.

“Initially what attracted me to the band were the thought-provoking lyrics,” he said. “It was so different from anything else I had heard. It wasn't just outside the mainstream, it was on an entirely other level.

“I later came to also appreciate the band members themselves. They are all three extremely interesting personalities and not your run-of-the-mill rock stars. I look up to and admire them as human beings, not just rock stars.” ...

... “I have always taken heat from some people about my love of Rush,” Stenger said, “but on the flip side I've found that more people like the band, or at least respect them, than don't. And I don't get as much heat as I used to. Rush has really exploded in the last few years. It's no longer uncool to like Rush.”

I agree with that guy. :) Thanks to sjwdrummer and Scott E for the heads up.
