Vote for Rush in ESPN Radio's Herd Rock Band Bracket

Mon, Mar 7, 2011@12:00PM | comments removed/disabled

UPDATE - 3/11@10:11AM: Rush has handily defeated Styx and made it to round 2 which kicked off this morning. This next match is a bit tougher as they are up against heavy metal juggernaut Metallica. So go vote for Rush! They are now comfortably in the lead in the Goldmine poll. Keep voting!

UPDATE - 3/8@10:56AM: Reader Kelly M let me know of another poll going on where we can vote for Rush. Goldmine Magazine is running a poll on their home page (scroll down and it'll be on the right side). The poll asks the question If the only available music was 1970s prog and you ONLY could pick one band's catalog (and had to listen to every album at least once) what would you choose? Rush is one of the options and currently is losing with 5% of the vote. So go vote for Rush!

The Herd with Colin Cowherd is one of the most listened to sports talk radio shows in the US. It's hosted by Colin Cowherd and broadcast on ESPN Radio weekdays from 10AM to 1PM EST. Last month the show announced that in celebration of March Madness they'd be running a NCAA bracket-like contest in March to determine the greatest rock band of all time. Through feedback from listeners, Colin Cowherd and The Herd team have chosen the top 64 rock bands and put them in brackets for folks to vote on. They just revealed the brackets this morning and Rush is the #5 seed in the Cleveland bracket. They are currently up against Styx and winning handily. So go vote for Rush! Thanks to Bill M and kevin for the heads up.
