UPDATE - 11/15@3:00PM: Bidding is now closed. Alex's painting sold for $2,125!

Early last month we learned that for the 4th year in a row Alex Lifeson is participating in The Kidney Foundation of Canada's A Brush of Hope project. Alex Lifeson along with dozens of other Canadian celebrities have donated paintings to be auctioned off to raise money for the charity. The A Brush of Hope Gala takes place this evening at the Delta Hotel in Fredricton, NB. Paintings from over 100 Canadian celebrities have been put up for auction on eBay as of this morning. The auction will run through November 15th and you can bid on Alex Lifeson's painting (shown above) at .

"It is through the support by all of us that the Kidney Foundation of Canada can continue to provide hope for those who are not so fortunate and must live with this debilitating condition. I urge you to take the time to help in any way you can, whether by donation or some other method to realize the dream of a cure. Even a little goes a long way..." - Alex Lifeson
