It looks like those fans across the pond who have been asking whether the Snakes & Arrows MVI will get released in Europe have finally received their answer. Noble PR put out the following press release today:

To coincide with their forthcoming UK October arena tour dates, Canadian rock power trio, RUSH, today announced the Monday September 3rd 2007 release of their critically acclaimed “Snakes & Arrows” album as a “Special 2007 UK Tour Edition” comprising 2 discs (CD and DVD).

Comprised of Special Tour Edition packaging, including a stunning 28-page full colour booklet, Disc 1 (CD) will feature the original stereo mix of the studio album, while Disc 2 (DVD) will include tons of interactive features audio mixes in 96 kHz/24-bit hi-resolution stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound.

The DVD disc will also include "Rush: The Game of Snakes & Arrows", a unique 45-minute video documentary on the making of the album, MP3 files of every audio track, wallpapers, buddy icons, screensaver and a scrollable dialog written by Neil Peart that provides additional discovery into the creation of the songs.

The documentary gives fans direct access to the band and producer in the recording studio. The band members provide audio commentary and there’s a segment on the documentary where Neil Peart records his drum parts. There’s also footage of the band jamming on their instruments plus verbal commentary into the ideas and insights behind the song and lyrics. ...

So this release looks to be identical in content to the North American MVI release, but comprised as a CD and a DVD rather than one DVD album/MVI. The release date is September 3rd. Thanks to Adam and B-Man for the heads up.
