UPDATE - 6/13@1:30PM: Here's a great video of The Camera Eye with Loren Gold's new piano intro (thanks John at Cygnus-X1.net):

UPDATE - 6/12@7:40PM: Here's a review from Rolling Stone, one from The Prog Report, another along with some photos from LA Daily News, this review from Daily Breeze, and a growing gallery of photos from Cygnus-X1.net.

UPDATE - 6/12@10:38AM: UPDATE - 6/12@10:32AM: Geddy had some bass issues at the beginning of 2112 and they had to stop and restart as seen in this vid:

UPDATE - 6/12@1:43AM: That's a wrap on show #3. Highlights included 2 new songs; New World Man and The Camera Eye, the latter of which was introduced in set 2 when they played ALL of Moving Pictures straight through in order - the other big highlight of the night (they did the same thing on the Time Machine tour 15 years ago). Both sets still included the Neil Peart tributes, but the Time Stand Still tribute in set 2 was pushed until after MP was played ... and Aimee Mann appeared once again, as expected. Here's the first few minutes of The Camera Eye, featuring a new piano intro arrangement from Loren Gold:

So with 2 new songs added tonight, this means that of the 37 songs (38 if you count 2112 full vs. truncated) they rehearsed (according to the leaked rehearsal list), they now have played 34 of them. So there still remain 3 songs that haven't been heard yet, and which we should be hearing Saturday night. Good night!

UPDATE - 6/12@12:43AM: Wow. The surprises just keep coming! They opened up set 2 with Tom Sawyer instead of 2112, and then went into Red Barchetta and YYZ, suggesting that they will be performing Moving Pictures in its entirety, and in order! They actually already played all the songs off of the album on nights 1 and 2... except for The Camera Eye, which just happens to be one of the songs on their leaked rehearsal setlist. Unsure if that means they'll push the Neil Peart tribute towards the end of the set, or else include it in between some of the MP tunes. Follow along with the setlist here.

UPDATE - 6/12@12:05AM: Set 1 is in the books and it's intermission time... and we have one new song!! The only setlist continuity from the 1st 2 nights was the Xanadu opener and the Neil Peart Bravado tribute. Otherwise the rest of the set consisted of a mix of tracks from both nights, except for one NEW SONG (in more ways than one) ... New World Man. Here's the setlist so far:

Set 1:

Intro video (Xanadudes)

1) Xanadu
2) Dreamline
3) Subdivisions
4) Headlong Flight
5) Bravado (Neil Peart tribute)
6) Red Sector A
7) La Villa Strangiato
8) Anthem
9) New World Man
10) The Spirit of Radio

Here's some vid of the new song, New World Man:

UPDATE - 6/11@11:26PM: We are half way into set 1 and they just finished up the Neil Peart Bravado tribute. Other than the Xanadu opener, we've seen a mix of songs from both nights 1 and 2 (Dreamline, Subdivisions, Headlong Flight), but nothing new yet. Follow along with the setlist here.

UPDATE - 6/11@10:56PM: The show is underway and they opened with Xanadu again, giving more weight to the idea that this will be a mainstay of the show. Follow along with the setlist here.

Two shows down for Rush, 86 to go - starting with tonight's 3rd performance at the Kia Forum. Over the first 2 LA shows, Rush played a total of 32 different songs (33 if you count 2112 full vs. truncated). They've been saying for months now that they've rehearsed around 38 songs which means there's only 5 or 6 left for them to play. And there happens to be another setlist photo from Alex's guitar tech's console making the rounds that shows essentially ALL the tracks from the 1st 2 shows, plus another 5 that they haven't played yet. If you want to be spoiled, click on the thumbnail (above left) and check out what those 5 songs are. In addition to adding several new songs on Tuesday night, the band also flipped around the order of several other tracks that they'd played on opening night. The only tracks that were played in the same position on both nights are the Xanadu opener, the Bravado set 1 Neil tribute, the 2112 set 2 opener (although different versions), the Tom Sawyer set 2 closer, and the Working Man show closer. The set 2 Time Stand Still Neil Peart tribute was in slightly different spots each night, but that still seems to be a mainstay of the set - and it looks like Aimee Mann will be performing with the band for all the LA shows. So there's no telling what they have in store for us tonight and on Saturday. We'll probably hear at least a couple other songs that haven't been played yet, along with a sampling of tracks from the first 2 shows. If anyone is interested in checking out the tourbook, Eric at the Power Windows site has transcribed/the essay from Geddy Lee and made it available online here. If you want to score tickets, there are still plenty available from resellers via both Ticketmaster and brokers. Follow along for updates, and have a blast if you are going to the show! RUSH!!!!!
