Rush starwoman reference in Foo Fighters' video promo of upcoming Mexico City show
10:28AM EST | comments (6) |

Foo Fighters in Mexico CityThe Foo Fighters will be playing a show in Mexico City next month on December 13th and posted a humorous video promoting the show to their Facebook page yesterday titled Entregando Lo Bueno (Bringing the Goods). The video features all of the Foo Fighters individually at their homes receiving a hand-delivered letter informing them that they are headed to Mexico. The scene where drummer Taylor Hawkins is handed his letter shows Hawkins outside washing his Chevy van. The van has a mural depicting the words Chevy Metal along with a Rush starwoman as shown here. You can watch the video below or at this location. The Rush reference comes in at about the 20-second mark. Thanks to LisaC for the heads up.

Yes indeed, it's a Zep parody of a Song Remains the Same scene.

The beginning of Bridge Burning does have that HF feel indeed Lamb! Love this vid live from Sydney:

The outro music at 1:35 sounded a lot like Rush's "Headlong Flight"

Erik Estrada? I haven't seen him since the last time I was channel-surfing through infomercials at 3 a.m.

This is reminiscent of Led Zep's 'The Song Remains The Same' movie. Each member is found and told about the upcoming tour. I remember one of them looking at the note and saying "Tour Dates!" Love the Starwoman. Gotta love the Foo Fighters for remebering the classic bands and knowing where they come from musically.
