UPDATE - 9/26@9:37AM: Thanks to the wonders of YouTube, a video of the portion of the show where Tom Sawyer is played is now available. Get it while it's hot.

----- snip -----

RevolutionIn tonight's season 2 premiere of NBC's post-apocalyptic television show Revolution, an acoustic version of Rush's Tom Sawyer is played. A few minutes into the show during a bar scene a musician in the bar plays a solo acoustic version of the song. It goes on for about 30 seconds, with some of it in the background. The episode should be available online later this week. Thanks to Gisabun and Wigtone for the heads up.

How is this any different than the present day pre-apocalyptic world?

Yet, in that post-apocalyptic world, Ray Danniels lives on and charges the survivors for the rights to play TS....If they cannot pay in gold, they must pay with food. He has teamed up with cyborgs of the future who wear Ticketmaster badges who charge the downtrodden to watch them play around the burning tires.

They play a loop of 4 measures of TS every day on the Imus in the morning program here in NYC. Surprised no one caught that.
