Syndicated guitar radio show The Chop Shop will be commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a 2-hour radio tribute show next month. Host Steve Black will talk with a number of rock celebrities including Rush's Geddy Lee as they reflect back on 9/11. From RBR.com:

Envision Radio Networks’ The Chop Shop is commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a free two hour radio tribute. Host Steve Black will talk with some of rock’s biggest names as they reflect back on where they were 10 years ago on 9/11. Recollections will come from Vernon Reid from Living Colour who was close enough to see the burning buildings; Eric Johnson who had just flown into Alberta, Canada where he would be stuck for several days, and Angus Clarke from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra who was on the R-Train in Manhattan. This emotional two hour special will also include stories from rockers Geddy Lee, Steve Vai, Keith Nelson of Buckcherry, Ben Wells from Black Stone Cherry and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.

The special will be available to all US radio stations and air on or around 9/11 weekend depending on the particular radio station's scheduling. For a list of Chop Shop affiliate stations go here. The show will also be available to stream online for free on 9/12 for all Chop Shop mailing list subscribers. To sign up for their free mailing list just go to their home page.
