A few weeks ago the folks at RushCon announced the location and dates for this year's convention which has been cleverly dubbed RushCon X1. RushCon 2011 will take place the weekend of June 24-25th at the MGM Grand/Hooters Hotel in Las Vegas and coincide with the Rush concert on June 24th. More details were revealed a few days ago and registration is now open. From the RushCon website:

The Friday night concert afterparty will be THE place to be after the Rush concert at MGM. Capacity is limited on this one, and it will sell out quick.

Saturdays convention day will be filled with all the fun and games you have come to expect at RushCon. 1 brand new team game, "We Draw Our Own Designs," and then the now classic, "Words of the Profits" will be resurrected to decide which team is the champ. We are super excited to be presenting an exclusive multi-media show, "Freeze This Moment" featuring 3D photography, captured from beyond the front row at a couple Rush concerts. I am sure you will see some familiar faces on the screen. (Perhaps your own?) The images will jump off the screen as if you were at live show. And yes, you will get your own 3D glasses. We round out the day with our Charity Auction, which will feature super rare and collectible Rush gems. There will be other surprise yet to be announced. We really hope to see you all there!...
