Queensryche's Geoff Tate pays homage to Rush on That Metal Show

Geoff Tate of progressive metal band Queensryche was the featured guest on the latest episode of VH1 Classic's That Metal Show. When Geoff was introduced he walked out to the stage and before sitting down asked the hosts if the chair he was about to sit in was where Alex Lifeson sat. Alex and Geddy were guests on the show back in late December. Host Eddie Trunk mentioned this and remarked at how honored they were to have them as guests. Tate then said maybe I should use another chair. He then patted the chair and said it's like ... godly and proceeded to bow his head with arms raised. After finally sitting down he had this to say:

Rush is one of those bands that really shaped our band when we were first starting out. You know - 2112, Caress of Steel. Those albums were the thing that we were all about ...
