There are some more details regarding this summer's RushCon 8. From the website:

... RushCon 8 will be held July 8-10, 2008. This is our first midweek convention, due to the Toronto RUSH show being on a Wednesday. Usually it is held over a weekend. The convention will be held at the Days Hotel & Conference Center - Toronto Downtown at 30 Carlton Street, which has been our official convention hotel and location for several years.

Since this is a midweek convention, we're expecting a slightly smaller crowd. In the past, we have had 150 - 350 ultra-cool RUSH fans attend RushCon. RushCon 8 is a great opportunity to meet everyone and feel the family-like experience of RushCon.

We are planning to have the following events:

Tuesday night: "In the Mood" Mixer - a great place to meet fellow fans, enjoy some hors d'oeuvres, and listen to RUSH!

Wednedsay day: RUSH-based Games and Charity Auction - fun game show style games give you a chance to win cool RUSH prizes, and a RUSH memorabilia auction (including autographed items!) benefitting the Daily Bread Food Bank of Toronto. To date, we have raised $40,000 CND for charity!

Wednesday evening/night: Toronto Harbour boat cruise to the RUSH show!

Thursday day: RUSH fans invade the city - we'll have a couple of optional events, exploring Toronto. ...
