Neil Peart to appear in indie movie Adventures of Power?

Sat, Dec 15, 2007@10:58AM | comments removed/disabled

Adventures of Power is a new indie film from director Ari Gold (not to be confused with the Entourage character of the same name) that will be appearing at next year's Sundance Film Festival. Ari Gold is best known for his student-Oscar-winning 2000 short film Helicopter. Adventures of Power will star Ari Gold as Power - a small-town copper miner on a quest to become the world's best air drummer. Also starring in the film as a sort of quasi-villain is Adrian Grenier. Why this film might interest Rush fans (other than the fact it's about airdrumming) is that the internet movie database entry for Adventures in Power has Neil Peart listed as appearing in the film playing himself. At this time I have no information on the extent of his involvement; I don't know if it's a brief cameo or if he has a speaking part or what. If this information is accurate it would be Neil's first appearance as a live actor in a film, although he did have a speaking role in last year's animated Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. Thanks to rayman2112 over at the Rush Tour Forum for digging this one up.
