Update on Fly Paper - the new Tiles release featuring Alex Lifeson

Thu, Dec 6, 2007@10:28PM | comments removed/disabled

As reported back in September, Detroit progsters Tiles will be releasing their new CD Fly Paper on InsideOut Music in the US on January 29, 2008. The album has several Rush connections; it was produced by former Rush producer Terry Brown, Hugh Syme did the cover (and also plays keyboards on a couple tracks) and to top it all off Alex Lifeson himself makes a guest appearance on the track Sacred & Mundane. A promotional video for the Alex Lifeson track was recently completed and should be released in the run-up to the album's release next month. The band also recently distributed hundreds of cardboard-sleeved promo copies of the album throughout North America and Europe, and the reviews are starting to roll in; there's one from Total Rock (UK), Prog Planet (Denmark) and Get Ready To Rock (UK). Mike over at Progscape Radio also got his hands on one of these promo copies and will be playing the album on his radio show next Tuesday at 8PM. Be sure to listen in at the Progscape Radio website. The album is also now available for preorder at this link.
