Neil smiles

Mon, Jul 23, 2007@2:16PM | comments removed/disabled

A couple of weeks ago reader Nettie put forth the following challenge to Rush is a Band readers:

I want to make a dare/challenge to all those on the site:
If someone can get a photo of Neil smiling while at his drum kit during a concert, I'll donate 20 dollars to S-CAP (rushtofightaids) and 20 dollars to Second Harvest for the first photo posted on the site.
I challenge everyone to pledge money to these charities (or others) and donate it when the picture appears. If you like, they can contact me with the pledge and I'll keep track of who pledged what.

Nettie tells that as of this morning, she had 60 dollars pledged for each charity and one unspecified pledge for Rush to Fight AIDs. It's time to pay up ... I think. Reader skischool uploaded this image from Saturday's show and it looks pretty clear to me that Neil is ... smiling - not a huge grin, but definitely a smile. So there you have it. Don't let this stop you from continuing to pledge to the charities though. Donations to both S-CAP and Second Harvest can be made securely online via www.s-cap.org and www.secondharvest.org.

If you prefer to send checks, make them out separately to S-CAP (be sure to put the Rush to fight AIDS in the memo line) and Second Harvest, and then send them directly to the organizations:
