A couple of weeks ago I threatened to create a separate daily chat area on the site for anything-goes random conversations. I had been getting several comments from users requesting such an area so that idle chit-chat can be kept separate from comments regarding a specific post. Well, if you look to your right - right above the poll you'll see a new heading for the Rush Pub. Just click on the button and a generic comment thread will open up... and chat away. Now that this is in place, I politely ask folks to try and keep comments in the site posts to the subject at hand ... or at least Rush-related - as a courtesy to other users. This is just a request, not a demand... and my definition of Rush-related is very loose. I'm also not going to really police this too much because I haven't the time nor the energy. It's also always been my policy not to dictate what people discuss in the comments as long as they keep it civil. But at least now folks will have an option available outside of the regular comments. The chat thread will refresh itself every night at midnight EST. An archive of older chat threads will be available too (eventually- still working on it). So have at it, and if you notice any weird errors, let me know.
