I'm listening to 2112 right now - Rush's 20 minute sci-fi anthem to individuality, freedom and liberty; my favorite Rush song and the one that hooked me on this band. It truly is an anthem since it was loosely-base on Ayn Rand's influential short story Anthem. 5 years ago on their last tour, Rush performed this song live (part of a 3 hour set!) and it was an intense experience for me. I will see them again (finally) tonite. They're going to do another 3 hour set. No 2112 this time, but from the setlists I've seen, they will pull out a lot of stuff that they haven't performed live in a long time. I'll let you know how it goes.
